UK 'Blue Meadows' recognises Clean Sailors as Partner in seagrass conservation

Clean Sailors is excited to share that as a result of our #ProtectOurBeds campaign, ongoing with our friends savvy navvy and the Ocean Conservation Trust, Clean Sailors  is now an official Delivery Partner of the UK's Blue Meadows project.

Seagrass meadows store 10% of the ocean’s carbon and are major facilitators in moderating our global climate, but are estimated to be the fastest disappearing habitat on the planet mainly due to avoidable human activity.

Our #ProtectOurBeds campaign is the FIRST -EVER project to digitally map sensitive seabeds for the global boating community, alongside eco-mooring alternatives to anchoring.

With the core aim to protect and restore seagrass beds in the UK, over the next 10 years, Blue Meadows aims to protect 30% of all UK seagrass meadows and restore 50 hectares of seagrass.

We are so proud that since launching in early 2023, our #ProtectOurBeds campaign is making waves and bringing greater awareness to water-users worldwide on sensitive seabeds and how to minimise disruption.

We are always looking for further contributors to add to the project's growing partnerships through the UK, Europe, USA and the Channel Islands.
